Harding University commencement exercises set for May 8

Graduates include students from the College of Arts and Humanities, College of Bible and Religion, College of Business Administration, College of Communication, Cannon-Clary College of Education, College of Nursing, College of Sciences and the Honors College.


This spring’s ceremonies also include the first cohort of graduates to receive the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology degree.

Keynote speaker will be Dr. Clifton L. Ganus Jr., chancellor of the University. A 1943 Harding graduate, Ganus served as president from

1965 to 1987. Upon his retirement, he became the university’s first chancellor.

President David B. Burks will present diplomas to all graduates.

Ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. in Ganus Athletic Center, and the doors open at 8 a.m.

Approximately 600 graduates will receive diplomas at Harding University commencement exercises Saturday, May 8.
