Historic Batesville’s Main Street Farmers Market Open Every Saturday in July and August

The Main Street Farmers Market will host a cooking demonstration at 10am at the July 18 Market. Earth Sprung Grain Company, known for its Beautiful Jasmine rice grown in Pocahontas, will talk about their rice growing and some interesting ways to cook rice.

The Main Street Farmers Market is held in Batesville’s Pocket Park on Main Street from 8am to noon on Saturday mornings.
Vegetables will be in high season for the July Market days and farmers will be selling beautiful tomatoes with heirloom varieties, onions, sweet and hot peppers, summer squash and zucchini, sweet corn, White County peaches and sugar baby watermelons.

Garden Girl Farm Fresh Produce and More out of Pleasant Plains will be at the July 18th the July 18th market day selling her homegrown vegetables as well as local, pasture raised beef, pork and chicken from Freckle Face Farm and Holy Cow Farm and local cheeses, herb vinegars, baked goods and canned goods. Brood Farm out of Cave City will be selling eggs and handmade soaps and lotions made from their goat milk. And Rural Goods will sell baked goods and lemonade at the July 18 market.

Five Acre Farms out of Pleaseant Plains, Clark Farm out of Bethesda, Mahan Farm in Southside, Beyond the Garden Gate Herb Farm from Judsonia, and Victorious Cross Ranch from Bald Knob will all be at the Saturday Market selling freshly picked, no spray and sustainably raised vegetables, eggs, goat milk lotions, and baked goods.

Bakers will be selling yummy homemade baked goods and Local craftspeople will sell baskets, gourds, wood crafts and jewelry. Dustin Morgan of Home Made Home will set up his whittling stool and work on his unique wooden spoons during the market.

Main Street’s restaurants and antique shops, as well as Earth Station Nursery, the Batesville Area Arts Council Gallery, Gallery 246 at their new location, and the Chill Factory, Main Street’s new ice-cream shop, will all be open on Saturday.
