Jim Burnett of Clinton, Former President Reagan’s director of the National Transportation Safety Board, Passed away Saturday.

United States Senate Candidate Gilbert Baker offers his condolences in light of the sad death of his friend Jim Burnett, National Committeeman of the Arkansas Republican State Committee:

“I’m saddened to hear about the loss of my dear friend, Jim Burnett. Jim was such a kind-hearted person, and always had a thoughtful word to say. He did so much to help the State Republican party and no one knew more about the history of the Arkansas Republican Party than Jim did. It’s difficult to imagine a Republican event without Jim’s presence. Susan and I offer our deepest thoughts and prayers to Jim’s family.”

Second District Congressional candidate, U.S. Army Reservist and former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin today issued the following statement in remembrance of Jim Burnett, Republican Party of Arkansas National Committeeman:

“Jim Burnett was a good friend and his family is in my thoughts and prayers. Jim was not only a servant to Arkansans, but served his nation as President Reagan’s director of the National Transportation Safety Board. His thoughtfulness and kind demeanor will be sorely missed.”
