Jonathan Trawick in Concert

The Faulkner County Library welcomes Conway’s own Jonathan Trawick in Concert on Sunday, May 13 at 2:00 PM.

Known for his smooth, clear voice and authentic phrasing, Jonathan “JT” Trawick continues a rich tradition of singing from deep within the Ozark hills. Whether singing a classic such as I Wonder Where You Are Tonight, his Grandpa’s Yellow Leaves of Autumn or his very own Boston Town, JT is sure to deliver.

Jonathan grew up in Conway, but he was born in the Pacific Northwest, where he makes his home when not on tour. Jonathan began playing guitar in his teens. His Dad and Grandpas, both Arkansas State Fiddle Champions passed on their love of music. Jonathan has collaborated with such Arkansas musicians as Charlotter Crosmer, Shannon Wurst, and he also teamed up with National Champion Fiddler, Aarun Carter. In January of 2014, they were selected to record Volume 1 of the Deep End Sessions, a project produced by David Bunn. David says of the project, “..we’re gathering a collection of old-time music from some of the finest musicians today in the tradition.” The project has been featured on the front page of the Los Angeles Times as well as The Huffington Post. 2014 also marked the beginning of his western swing dance band, Well Swung. Their first release (October 2015), a cover of the Bob Wills classic, Ida Red was voted Top 5 in the Western Swing Song category of the Academy of Western Artists Willie Awards. Recently, JT & Rowdy Mountain, a new bluegrass outfit was unveiled.
