KATV Reports: California Murder Suspect Nabbed in Cleburne Co.

Heber Springs – An anonymous tip to the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of a wanted man from California.

Authorities say they received a tip Wednesday regarding the whereabouts of 42-year-old Steve Farlow, who is wanted in connection with a 2005 murder in Los Angeles.

Authorities say Farlow was using the name ‘Robert Parker’ since moving to the Cleburne County area in February. They say the local tipster contacted police after recognizing Farlow’s face on a website.

Farlow was arrested Wednesday afternoon while leaving a local restaurant.

Authorities say in 2005, Farlow showed up at a Los Angeles party to collect about $150 from another man. Witnesses there told police Farlow pulled out a gun, demanded payment then opened fire.

Farlow appeared before a judge late Thursday afternoon, agreeing to extradition. He could be returned to Los Angeles this weekend.
