Washington – U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and U.S. Representative Vic Snyder (AR-02) today announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded $22,000 in grant funding for runway rehabilitation at Clinton Municipal Airport.  The grant award is provided by the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program.

“These funds will help improve the runway at Clinton Municipal Airport, enhancing safety and security of air travel while also boosting the local economy. I remain committed to ensuring our Arkansas communities receive the resources and support they need to stay strong,” said Lincoln.

“Safe and reliable transportation infrastructure is a critical component to economic development in Arkansas,” said Pryor. “Investing these federal dollars in Clinton Municipal Airport will benefit local businesses and residents alike.”

“I am pleased we are receiving this funding to rehabilitate the runway’s pavement.  Improving Clinton’s airport may expand economic opportunity in the region,” said Snyder.
