Love Bites Fundraiser at the Old Independence Regional Museum

Bring your sweetheart to Old Independence Regional Museum Saturday, February 14th at 7p.m. for a Valentine’s Day Fundraiser. No Sweetheart? No problem! Come celebrate Singles Awareness Day with “Love Bites.” The event will feature the best bite sized desserts from local sweet makers ranging from Cheesecake Bites to Cream Puffs to Caramel Chocolate Tartlets. Visitors will be able to sample desserts for $1 per bite or 5 bites for $4. Visitors will also be able to vote for their favorite bite by placing money in its jar. To-go boxes will be available for $5 each. Each bite earns an entry for a door prize. All proceeds benefit Old Independence Regional Museum.

If you are interested in making “Love Bites” contact the museum at 870-793-2121 or download a registration form from our website at www.oirm.org and return it to 380 S. 9th Street in Batesville. February 9th is the last day to register. First place will receive a $250 gift card and second place will receive a $100 gift card courtesy of First Community Bank.

Old Independence serves a 12-county area: Baxter, Cleburne, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Marion, Poinsett, Sharp, Stone, White, and Woodruff. Parts of these present-day counties comprised the original Independence County in 1820s Arkansas territory.
