Lt. Governor Griffin Joins Congressman Rick Crawford’s FARM Corps Efforts To Connect Unemployed Veterans With Farmers Impacted by COVID-19

Lieutenant Governor Tim Griffin announced today he is joining Congressman Rick Crawford, the Arkansas National Guard, Arkansas Department of Agriculture, the Arkansas Department of Veteran Affairs, and the Arkansas Farm Bureau in announcing the Farm and Ranch Mission Corps (FARM Corps) in response to the agricultural workforce crisis created by the COVID-19 pandemic. FARM Corps will assist our farmers and ranchers in meeting their workforce demands and helping National Guard and Reserve soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and other military veterans find employment. Lt.Governor Tim Griffin issued the following statement:

“Agriculture is Arkansas’s largest industry, and our farmers and ranchers feed the world. However, many of our farmers have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. I am proud to join Congressman Rick Crawford in announcing the FARM Corps partnership, and I am thankful for the assistance of the National Guard and Farm Bureau to help find employment for those who have served our country and those working to feed it.”
