Lyon College Pipe Band Concert and Kirkin’ in Little Rock

Founded in 1872 by Arkansas Presbyterians, Lyon College celebrates its Scottish heritage in many ways, from the choice of its athletic mascot to the creation of its own distinctive crimson and navy blue tartan. But the most important way Lyon honors its Scottish connection is through the Scottish Heritage Program, designed to teach, preserve, and celebrate the Scottish arts and traditions.

Under the direction of Pipe Major Jimmy Bell, the Lyon College Pipe Band performs at official College events, in community parades, all around the state of Arkansas, and across the United States and abroad. Join us in Little Rock at Grace Presbyterian Church on March 18th for a Celtic concert and again on the 19th for a kirkin’ service. We hope to see you there!
