New Venue Announced For Heber Springs Fireworks Extravaganza

As a result of heavy rainfall over the past few weeks, Sandy Beach, the venue for the annual Heber Springs Fireworks Extravaganza, is not an option this year. With the cooperation of the City of Heber Springs, Cleburne County and the generosity of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Chamber will be hosting the 2019 Fireworks Extravaganza at Dam Site Park at 315 Heber Springs Road North. The fireworks will be shot from a site directly across the lake from Dam Site Park which will make for a spectacular view, especially from your boat on the lake.

This year’s Fireworks Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, July 6, with an evening that includes a full roster of events and entertainment for the entire family. Partygoers will arrive by boat and by car, with food vendors opening by noon, and live music by the band Just Sayin’ beginning at 7:00 p.m. Entertainment is being sponsored by Walmart.

At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays in Arkansas will light the skies above the lake, as thousands of breathtaking fireworks are choreographed to music broadcast on Timeless 106.1 FM, KFFB. Beautifully mirrored in the lake’s surface, the show is equally magical whether viewed by boat or on the shore, and each year’s Fireworks Extravaganza is better than the last.

It’s an American tradition to spend Independence Day Weekend celebrating on the water, and it’s hard to find a more beautiful, welcoming setting than Heber Springs and Greers Ferry Lake. Enjoy a day of boating, hiking or shopping and exploring the area, before joining the festive crew of holiday revelers to enjoy this local tradition.

The Fireworks Extravaganza is free, although those traveling by car have the opportunity to provide a $10 parking donation. Due to the new location, parking will be somewhat limited so please consider carpooling with your friends and family. Parking on the side of road will not be permitted and always secure permission before you park on private property.
