• More than 2000 Arkansans are expected to gather to serve Batesville and Mountain View

Batesville, Arkansas – On October 5, hundreds of Arkansans will come together in Batesville and Mountain View as volunteers in the annual “Acts 1:8 One Day Mission Trip.” These volunteers will share the gospel through service-based projects and other ministries. These ministries include prayer walking, evangelism, children’s activities, block parties, home repairs, health/dental clinics, sports camps, yard work, cowboy ministries, children’s fishing derbies, and multi-housing ministries.

The Acts 1:8 One-Day Mission Trip is hosted by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. The location changes each year, cycling through the various missional associations that the state of Arkansas is divided into. In previous years, many people have invited Christ to be their savior, people have acknowledged the call to missions, and churches have grown spiritually and numerically. In 2018, more than 2300 Arkansans from more than 130 churches and 80 cities across attended Acts 1:8 Day, and 56 people accepted Christ as a result of the day’s efforts.
Batesville and Mountain View are part of the Independence Association of Arkansas. The Arkansas Baptist Missions team has been working with the towns for several months now to determine the best ways to use the time and manpower available on the day of the event.
The Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC) is known as a family and network of 1500+ Arkansas Baptist churches, agencies, and institutions around the state that have chosen to cooperate together to advance the Kingdom of Jesus.
