Ozark Folk Center State Park offers Ozark Quilt Retreat in February

Spend three days tucked away in the Ozark Mountains learning new quilting techniques, quilting with friends and being attended to by the Ozark Folk Center State Park restaurant and cabin staff.

The Ozark Folk Center is now accepting registrations for the Ozark Quilt Retreat, held Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 20 – 22, 2014.  The 3-day package includes lunch, lodging, instructor fees and applicable taxes.  It does not include supplies and materials.

When registering, participants can select one of the following classes: “Quilt as you go” throw; Three-Dimensional quilted flower; Wool applique the “Sue Spargo” way; Quilted structured zipper bags with Jannie Poo; and Tatting, butterflies to lace.

Newly added for the 2014 retreat event are special classes for those participants who arrive Thursday, Feb. 19.  Participants can sign up for one of the following courses that will be taught Feb. 19.  These classes cost $30 per person and payment is due to the instructor at the beginning of class.  Classes include:  Locker hooking with Jeanette Larson; Corn shuck flowers with Paula Lane; and Chicken scratch embroidery with Melody Conatser.
