Title: Pianist Rutman Sets UCA Recital April 5

Description: Neil Rutman, artist in residence in piano at the University of Central Arkansas, will give a solo piano recital on the UCA campus at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in the Snow Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.
The year 2011 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of famed Hungarian composer Franz Liszt. Rutman will commemorate the occasion by performing Liszt’s Petrarch Sonnets and the monumental Sonata in b minor.
The recital is free and open to the public.
The program’s first half will open with several pieces by French Baroque composer Jean-Philippe Rameau and conclude with a short Prokofiev Sonata.
