Description: On Saturday, October 27th, “Relive Calico Rock History: Pioneer Life” from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Calico Rock Museum (Highway 5 at the White River Bridge). Craftspeople will demonstrate how Ozarks pioneers made butter, sewed quilts, created pottery, made apple cider and other local crafts. Next door at the Visitors Center, Dana Schaeffer, Karen Jones and Rhoda Doerr will offer a gallery showing of their artwork. Outside, The 20/20 Group will supply wooden forms, old clothes and straw to make a scarecrow. When you and your child have completed your creation, you can take your scarecrow home with you.
