Precuationary Boil Water Notice for Portions of the KFFB Listening Area

Community Water System is issuing a Precautionary Boil Water Notice for a small portion of its retail water distribution system located in
the northwest part of its system. The following areas are affected: Community Water System retail customers located west of the City of
Shirley on State Hwy 110 including Lexington, Dodd Mountain, Halfmoon and Holley Mountain areas. Reason for Notice:
This is a precautionary notice being issued by Community Water System as the result of a lake upset and low residual chlorine levels in this
area. There has been no evidence of contaminated water.

Customer Action:

As a precaution, customers in the above noted areas should boil water used for drinking and cooking by heating it to a rolling boil for at
least one minute.  Ice cubes formed in the time period for which the boil notice is in effect should be discarded and only boiled water
used for making ice.  Water used for bathing should not be a problem. In addition to or in lieu of boiling water, the customer may want to
utilize bottled water from a reputable source.
