radio ad, President Obama Says Sen. Lincoln is Leading the Fight for Arkansas’s Working Families

Little Rock – In a new Lincoln campaign radio ad airing on a variety of stations across the state, President Barack Obama praises U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln for leading the fight for Arkansas’s working families.

“I am proud to have President Obama’s support and will continue to work toward our shared goals of protecting jobs, fixing our economy and fighting for working families,” Sen. Lincoln said.

President Obama said Sen. Lincoln is “leading the fight to hold Wall Street accountable and make sure that Arkansas taxpayers are never again asked to bailout Wall Street bankers.”

He praised her record fighting for Arkansas workers, saying she is “standing on the side of workers who’ve lost their jobs in this recession by extending unemployment insurance payments and health care while they try to get back on their feet. And she cast crucial votes to create new jobs in Arkansas and all across America.”

President Obama said Sen. Lincoln “took on big insurance companies by voting to end discrimination against Arkansans with pre-existing conditions, and fought for tax credits that will help thousands of local small businesses provide insurance to their employees.”

Lincoln campaign manager Steve Patterson said the ads will be a welcome counter to negative attack  radio ads being aired by Bill Halter’s campaign that distort and misrepresent the Senator’s record on health care and Wall Street accountability.

Blanche is leading the fight to hold Wall Street accountable and make sure that Arkansas taxpayers are never again asked to bailout Wall Street bankers.

She is standing on the side of workers who’ve lost their jobs in this recession by extending unemployment insurance payments and health care while they try to get back on their feet.  And she cast crucial votes to create new jobs in Arkansas and all across America.

On health care, Blanche took on big insurance companies by voting to end discrimination against Arkansans with pre-existing conditions and fought for tax credits that will help thousands of local small businesses provide insurance to their employees.
