- Registration is FREE thanks to a grant from the Blue & You foundation for a Healthier Arkansas! (Yes, lunch is provided.)
- Registration is open to ANYONE concerned about making their community healthier–“worker bees,” government agents, health care professionals, nonprofit professionals, private sector professionals, elected officials . . .
- Summit training will focus on policy, environmental and systems changes. The more folks who understand the importance of a multifaceted approach, the better for Arkansas (and your particular community)!
- Breakout tracks are ALL DAY training courses, so you can only register for one. Which means, since there are 5 breakout tracks, you should make sure at least 5 folks from your community attend!
- All communities represented at the summits are eligible to apply for a grant that will allow you to put your training to use right away! (Also thanks to the Blue & You folks.)
- Wait–eligible to apply for a grant? That’s right–but ONLY to implement the training you receive. So, to keep your options open, make sure you have at least one representative from your community present in each of the tracks!
- Grants will be for 6-month projects and there will be a minimum of $10K available per region. More updates on grants will be posted on ArCOP’s website as it is available: arkansasobesity.org/news-
