Rolling Thunder Inc. Chapter 1 Arkansas participated in the Foster Friends Festival in Searcy

On September 24th Rolling ThunderÒInc., Chapter 1 Arkansas participated in the Foster Friends Festival in Searcy.  Rolling Thunder along with other motorcyclists road in the motorcycle parade to the Searcy Event Center honoring the 39th National Guard Infantry Brigade 2nd Battalion as well as foster care families and foster children of White County.  Rolling Thunder raised the POW-MIA and American Flags with Barbie Mellinger of Rolling Thunder singing the National Anthem.  The members greeted the public and educated those visiting their booth regarding the POW-MIA cause and Rolling Thunder’s mission.

 Also, on September 30 and Oct 1, Rolling Thunder members were active in the “Get Down Down Town” festival held in Searcy.  Rolling Thunder opened Saturday’s ceremony with a brief statement of its mission and members held both the POW-MIA and American flag during the National Anthem.  Members also assisted performers during a patriotic salute to our military and our veterans by handing out American Flags to those who had served.  The remainder of the day they provided information to the public from Rolling Thunder’s booth. 

  For those who are interested in joining Rolling Thunder they will be in Conway October 7-9 at ROAR (Roar into Toad Suck) supporting Arkansas Fallen Heroes Memorial and they will be in Little Rock October 15th at the Clinton Library escorting the Wounded Warrior Project.

 Rolling Thunder is a non profit organization whose mission is to publicize the POW-MIA issue by educating the public regarding American’s prisoners of war and missing in action, help protect future veterans from being left behind and helping American veterans from all wars.
