The White County Single Parent Scholarship Fund, Inc. recently held its first annual Scholarship Shindig at the White County Fairgrounds. $15,400 was raised for the Single Parent Scholarship Fund. Approximately 150 people attended the event.
The White County Single Parent Scholarship Fund, Inc. awards scholarships to single parents of minor children who are pursuing post-secondary education in order to provide a better life for themselves and their children. Since its beginning in 1999, WCSPSF, Inc. has awarded 397 scholarships with a value of almost $204,000.
