Stone County Community Resource Council Becomes Cornerstone Patron

The Stone County Community Resource Council has become the first Cornerstone Patron designee for Ozarka College-Mountain View’s amphitheatre building project. After their February 14 meeting, a $10,000 check was presented to Ozarka College President, Dr. Richard Dawe. The Council has now made two substantial donations toward the Mountain View building project.

After sponsoring the Student Success Center in July of 2010 and this recent gift, they are now one of the largest donors for the Ozarka College Foundation, according to Ozarka’s Director of Advancement, Suellen Davidson. “The Stone County Community Resource Council continues to set an example of true compassion and generosity. This donation will further the plans to build the amphitheatre which will not only enrich the lives of Ozarka students, but the surrounding population as well.”

The amphitheatre will be available for student and educational purposes, as well as community events.  Cornerstone Patrons for the amphitheatre project will not only receive prominent recognition for their generosity, they will also have priority seating for each Ozarka College sponsored event that is held at the amphitheatre.

A gift of $10,000 or more will give donors Cornerstone Patron designation for the amphitheatre, however other giving levels are available as follows:

  • Gold Level – $1000 -$9,999
  • Silver Level – $500-$999
  • Bronze Level – $250-$499
  • Gifts less than $250 are also welcome and may be given to the general building fund.

Construction of Phase I of the Mountain View building campaign, the Student and Nursing Education Center, is well underway and college officials are optimistic that it will be completed sometime this summer and a grand opening and open house will be planned for early fall 2011.
