The KFFB 106.1 annual Regional Health and Wellness Fair Next Saturday September 26

The KFFB 106.1 annual Regional Health and Wellness Fair will be held Saturday, September 29, inFairfieldBay. TheHARTCenter,FairfieldBay’s 23,000 square foot fitness center, will host the event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 The HART Center will be filled with over 75 doctors, nurses, and other specialists providing vital tests, including: Total Cholesterol Screening, Prostate Screening, Blood Oxygen tests, Glaucoma screening, I-step foot mapping, Pulse Oximetry, Carpal Tunnel Testing, Video Otoscopy, Flu Shots, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, A1C1 For Diabetics, Vision Screening, Wound and Ulcer Risk Evaluation, Financial planning, nutritional information and many other tests. All were chosen to assess general health and head off potentially life-threatening health problems.

 The Health and Wellness Fair is presented by Amedisys Home Health, Arkansas Heart Hospital, Attention Medical Supply, Baptist Health Medical Center—Heber Springs, Boston Mountain Rural Health Center, Conway Regional Health System, Eagle Bank’s “Summit 55” Club, Edward Jones Investments Kevin Feeler Financial Advisor, Fairfield Bay Pharmacy, Indian Rock Village, Irvin Medical Clinic, Mountain View Specialty Clinic, Nestlehut Insurance Services, Ozark Health Medical Center, Pepsi, Stone County Medical Center, Stone Vision Center, Taylor Hearing And Balance Centers, Warren Wellness Center, White County Medical Center, White River Area Agency On Aging, White River Medical Center, Windsor Medicare Advantage and many other businesses.

 The services, exhibits, and testing are free or at a nominal fee. More than 600 participants from all around North Central Arkansas attended last year.

 KFFB 106.1 will be giving away $106.10 every hour, plus Branson Tickets, T-shirts and other giveaways, as well as a wealth of information about maintaining good health. “We are excited about this year’s Health Fair. It should be the best yet”, said Bob Connell, Owner and General Manager of KFFB 106.1.

 Fasting before the cholesterol test is encouraged, but health professionals agree that in mature citizens eating before tests causes little deviation in test results.
