The Ozark Foothills Literacy Project is holding a tutor training workshop on Sunday, October 16, at 2:30 pm at the Jubilee Family Church, 45 Thunderbird Dr., Batesville, AR. Volunteer tutors are matched with adult students who are learning to read or who are learning English. Tutors meet with their student for two hours each week at a time and public location of their choosing. The Literacy Project is currently tutoring 30 students across 3 counties, with more students waiting for a tutor. To register for the October 16 workshop, please call 870-793-5912 or email
