U.S. Senator John Boozman Meets with EPA Administrator Nominee

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) released the following statement after meeting with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator nominee Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt late Thursday:

“We need an EPA Administrator who is committed to restoring the voice of citizens impacted by regulations, renewing common sense to the agency and ensuring the policies created follow the rule of law. Scott Pruitt understands the parameters of the EPA. His proven record of fighting to protect American families and businesses from the burdensome red tape makes him well suited to rein in the EPA. As a member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, I look forward to working with him to ensure the EPA uses a smart, balanced approach to safeguard our environment,” Boozman said.
