U.S. Senator Mark Pryor Calls on President to Approve Keystone Pipeline

U.S. Senator Mark Pryor and a bipartisan group of senators today sent a letter to President Barack Obama urging him to approve the Keystone XL pipeline following Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman’s approval of the proposed route through Nebraska Tuesday. The letter was signed by 53 senators, a majority of the U.S. Senate.

“To ensure our future energy security, we need a national energy plan and the Keystone Pipeline is a critical part of the solution,” Pryor said. “With the recent approval from Nebraska, the President is out of excuses for holding up this project. I hope he’ll act swiftly to approve the pipeline and create thousands of jobs here at home.”
