United States Flag and Arkansas State Flag Half-Staff Notification: Major Dean Douglas

Governor Asa Hutchinson has directed the United States flag and the state flag of Arkansas to be flown at half-staff in tribute to the memory of Major Dean Douglas, a Navy veteran and first responder with Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS).

Major Douglas was injured while responding to an emergency during the Little Rock Marathon. He passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021.

The State of Arkansas remembers and honors Major Douglas’ bravery and service. Flags shall be lowered immediately and fly at half-staff until the day of internment on December 1, 2021.
