The Van Buren County Community Band will have a fall concert Monday August 24, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. in the Clinton High School Auditorium. The band, under the direction of Dell Holt, will provide a variety of music for the enjoyment of all attending. This will be the bands first performance at the Clinton High School Auditorium since the February 5, 2008 tornado destroyed their equipment building which was located next to the boat factory. Through donations from several community bands, organizations, and individuals, the band has been able to rebuild its music library and its instrumentation.
Also performing with the VBC Band is the Nelson Family. The Nelson Family has been traveling for over 20 years performing gospel music at many venues and for the past 18 years have been regulars at the Ozark Folk Center, Mountain View, Arkansas.
