Van Buren County Master Gardeners annual Plant Sale Coming in April

The Van Buren County Master Gardeners will hold their annual Plant Sale, in conjunction with “Bloomin in the Bay”, on Saturday, April 27, 2013, 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Ed Leamon Park in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Janet Carson, University of Arkansas Extension Horticulture Specialist, will attend and answer gardening problems and questions. Spend the morning with the VBC Master Gardeners selecting beautiful homegrown plants, including herbs, perennials, annual, shrubs, native plants, hostas and trees. Shop the varied vendor booths selling gardening related items and Japanese Maple trees. Enjoy a cup of coffee or sodas with hot dogs, cooked to order, strawberry shortcakes, and other snacks. Visit the County Agent booth with complete instructions and supplies for a free soil test. Get expert advice at the “Ask a Master Gardener” booth for help with all your gardening questions.

Take a tour and enjoy the tranquil beauty of our Master Gardener maintained Ed Leamon Park. Directions: Travel Highway 16N to Fairfield Bay’s main entrance, Dave Creek Parkway. Ed Leamon Park is on the right past the mall. Admission is free! Door prizes , too!
