The Clinton Area Rotary Club for the first time proudly presents the Bull Ride Spectacular. The Bull Ride Spectacular which is part of the Discovery Tour sanctioned by the Professional Bull Riders Association has been raising money for local scholarships for years. The Clinton Civic Club has joined the Clinton Area Rotary Club and members will continue to bring the best in bull riding to Clinton. This year the event will be on Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th beginning at 7:30 p.m. each evening at the Clinton High School Rodeo Arena. This event attracts top bull riders that compete for prize money, the thrill of the ride and to entertain the crowd. Judging is based on the performance of the Brahman bull as well as that of the rider. The rider must first stay on the bull for eight seconds and is disqualified if he touches the animal or its rigging with his free hand. Bull Riding is wild and it’s western. The bull riding action in this event will bring out the cowboy in each of us and is sure to excite and entertain everyone. Area sponsors this year are First Service Bank, Ozark Health, Clinton First United Methodist Church and Van Buren County Title Company. Many organizations and businesses are supporting this event through contributions and advertising. The goal is to raise money for educational scholarships for our local children.
