David Meeks Set To Challenge Congressman Vic Snyder for US House.
David Meeks of Conway will outline his plans to run for the US House seat currently held by Congressman Vic Snyder in an interview on the Dave Elswick Show on Monday starting at 2:00 P.M.
“It is time the people in Arkansas’ 2nd District have someone who will represent their values and not the values of Nancy Pelosi. The Energy Bill which was passed last Friday is a prime example. Congressman Vic Snyder continued his record of voting with Nancy Pelosi even though the bill is expected to increase electric bills, cost jobs, and hurt farmers.”
Ever since David moved to Greenbrier, Arkansas with his family at age 8, he knew just how special this state is. He learned the principles and values that not only make this state great, but this country great.
Even though David and his family moved away from Arkansas when he was a junior in high school, he still had relatives that lived in Arkansas and would come back and visit. As he likes to say, “I may have left Arkansas, but Arkansas never left me.”
David served proudly in the US Army from 1990-1995. While in the Army, he took part in operations in Haiti and Somalia. He was also stationed in South Korea for a year.
David’s career also includes working at Daniel Payne Academy, a charter middle school for inner-city youth, and as a project manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida.
David moved back to Arkansas and met his future wife, Naomi. They were married in February 2009, and currently live in Conway, AR. They attend church where they have been actively involved in working with children.
