Izard County Historical Society Meeting

Dr. Loretta Brewer of Jonesboro will be the guest speaker. The title of her presentation will be “Remembering the Old Baptist and the Needmore Community”. The old church was the heart of the Needmore community in eastern Izard County near the Sharp County line. The church was destroyed by a tornado in 2017. A new historical marker has been dedicated at the site of the building near the Yeager Cemetery in 2019.
The meeting is free and open to the public and visitors are welcome to attend.
