Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour

The 18th Annual Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour is a free self-guided driving tour of artists’ studios located within 30 miles of the Court House Square in Mountain View, Arkansas. On this special weekend, artists open their private studios to the public for an up-close and personal look at how and where they create their distinctive pottery, jewelry, painting, ironwork,stained glass,quilts, weaving, wood, furniture, baskets, and much more. Artisans works will be on display and for sale. Come for a day or for the weekend. Studios will be open from 9:00 am to 6:00​ pm on ​Friday and Saturday and ​from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday. An artist reception will be held on Friday, September 13, from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Arkansas Craft School on the corner of Peabody and Main in downtown Mountain View. Everyone is invited to join in this celebration of art in Mountain View.

A Guide to Artists’ Studios, containing information about the artists, photos of their work, ​​along with directions to each studio, is available online now at www.offthebeatenpathstudiotour.com. A free print copy will be available the first week of September at the Arkansas Craft Gallery, the Arkansas Craft School and the Chamber of Commerce office in Mountain View.​​ The Guide will also be available at the visitor center in Calico Rock, at the Baxter County Library in Mountain Home and at the Batesville Chamber of Commerce.
