Governor Beebe: Flags to Fly at Half Staff on Friday in Honor of Fallen Marine

Little Rock – Governor Mike Beebe has issued a proclamation declaring all U.S. and Arkansas flags to be lowered to half-staff on Friday, to honor Marine Lance Corporal Irvin Martin Ceniceros.

Ceniceros, from Knoxville in Johnson County, was killed on October 14th, while conducting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

In the proclamation Beebe calls Ceniceros a “highly skilled machine gunner” who sacrificed his life. “All Arkansans and United States citizens owe Irvin a lasting debt of gratitude for his bravery and should pay tribute to his faithful service”, Beebe said.
