LITTLE ROCK, AR—Secretary of State Charlie Daniels today encouraged those Arkansans who have yet to vote early in the state’s May 18 Preferential Primary and Nonpartisan Judicial General Election to preview their sample ballots online before going to the polls.
Voters in the following 47 participating counties can preview their sample ballots online at www.VoteNaturally.org: Arkansas, Ashley, Baxter, Benton, Bradley, Calhoun, Carroll, Chicot, Clark, Clay, Cleveland, Columbia, Conway, Craighead, Crawford, Crittenden, Cross, Drew, Faulkner, Garland, Greene, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Izard, Jackson, Jefferson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Miller, Montgomery, Pike, Poinsett, Polk, Pope, Prairie, Pulaski, Saline, Searcy, Sebastian, Sevier, Sharp, Stone, Washington, White and Yell.
“Preparing to vote in Arkansas just got a little easier,” said Secretary Daniels. “47 counties are now offering Arkansans the option to preview their ballot before heading to the polls to vote. This means a better prepared voter and less time waiting in line. I encourage registered voters in those participating counties to take advantage of this new service before the May 18 Election Day.”
Voters in the counties that chose not to participate in the program can see sample ballots posted at early voting locations, at the courthouse, or in the local newspaper.
The Secretary of State’s office hosts www.VoteNaturally.org as a one-stop election resource for voters in Arkansas. In addition to offering sample ballots, the site will allow voters to check their registration, find their polling site and learn more about the voting process. The sample ballot offering, new this election season, is the result of a collaborative effort between the Secretary of State and the county clerks in participating counties.
As of May 13, nearly 75,000 Arkansans have taken advantage of the convenience offered by voting early. Polls are open today from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Early voting concludes at 5:00 pm on Monday, May 17. Statewide early voting locations can be found at www.VoteNaturally.org.
