The new exhibit “Art and History” at Ozark Health Medical Center on Highway 65 in Clinton hopes to explore this topic and answer some of those questions. Twenty local artists, all members of the North Central Arkansas Artist League, painted 36 paintings that deal with a historical place, or event. A card describing the significance of the painting is displayed next to each work of art.
The exhibit remains in place until April 8. Artists exhibiting paintings in this show are Charlotte B. Rierson, Alecs Long, Doris Sexson, Ellen Kelly, Julie Caswell, Diana Foote, Carolyn Goettsch, Connie Hood, Van L. Swink Jr., Bettye Ann Cooper, Freda May, Pauline Sears, Jan Cobb, Camille Thomas, Bonnie Hookman, Ruby Krimm, Lea Berry, D.G. Hendrickson, Judy Shumann, and Exhibit Coordinator Joyce Hartmann.
The public is invited to view this new exhibit between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., located on the second floor near the nursing home entrance and the cafeteria. All works are for sale, with a portion going toward the Hospital Auxiliary and their helpful projects.
