Sanders Proclaims March as Women’s History Month

WHEREAS: Arkansas recognizes the month of March as Women’s History Month,established in 1987 by Congress to celebrate the contributions American women have made to strengthen the nation since its inception;

WHEREAS: Women’s History Month honors women who have pursued excellence in every field and profession throughout history;

WHEREAS: American women have been at the forefront of every major social movement in our nation’s history, paving the way for future generations to enjoy the unalienable rights, duties and responsibilities afforded equally to all citizens of the United States of America; and

WHEREAS: Women working inside the home, and in academia, science, technology, business, governance and more maintain a critical role in every sphere of society.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, Governor of the State of Arkansas, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the laws of the State of Arkansas, do hereby proclaim March 2024 as

“WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH IN ARKANSAS”

of the State of Arkansas to be affixed this 15th day of March, in the year of our Lord 2024.
