American Songster Dom Flemons Returns to Perform at The Ozark Folk Center State Park

Mountain View, Arkansas – Dom Flemons returns to Mountain View with two performances on Friday, May 27 at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. The matinee show takes place in the Craft Village from 2-3:00 p.m. and the evening show begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Auditorium.

A founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Dom Flemons has now embarked on a solo career that continues in the Americana and Old Time music traditions he’s known for. A multi-instrumentalist, Dom plays banjo, guitar, harmonica, fife and bones in addition to singing. Dom’s banjo repertoire includes not only claw-hammer but also tenor and three-finger styles of playing.

“This is a wonderful time to be a fan of America’s rich musical heritage” said Ozark Folk Center State Park Superintendent John Morrow. “To have so many performers interpreting pre 1941 music speaks to the staying power of the style. Dom is among the finest practitioners today”.

Tickets for the matinee show are $12 and include all day admission to the Craft Village. The evening performance starts at 7:00 p.m. with local opening acts Possum Juice and Mary Parker. Tickets for the evening show are $12 general admission and can be purchased throughout the park the day of the show. A combo ticket for both performances and all day access to the Craft Village is $19.50. No reserved seating, all tickets are sold the day of the show.
