Aquaculture Grant Deadline Nears

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Agriculture Department-Aquaculture Division has extended the deadline it will accept applications for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Aquaculture Grant until July 31.
The department received $7.8 million from the US Department of Agriculture Commodity, Farm ServiceAgency, Commodity Credit Corporation to reimburse eligible catfish farmers, hybrid striped bass farmers, bait fish farmers, tilapia farmers and goldfish farmers for high feed costs in 2008.
