Arkansas Highway Commission Approves Bid for Improvements in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY (3-10) – The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Jackson County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The purpose of this project is to resurface 8.8 miles of State Highway 384 from State Highway 367 to State Highway 18, at Newport.

Asphalt Producers, LLC of Jonesboro was awarded the contract at $1,639,462.72. Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid-2017.
