The Arkansas Tea Party will hold a “Rally on the River”

The rally is in conjunction with the
State of Arkansas’ 173rd Birthday and Flag Day
“We want to wave our flags and show our support of our country,” said Tom Cox, chairman. Cox went on to say that even though his organization disagrees with many elected officials and policies, they are still patriotic and uphold the constitution, he said.
Arkansas Tea Party first rallied on Tax Day, April 15 on the steps of the State Capitol, with over 2,500 Arkansans attending.
A grass roots movement, the Arkansas Tea Party formed this spring as part of a nationwide movement to protest certain government policies. They focus on electing accountable candidates, conservative fiscal spending, and limited government.
The rally is free to the public . A mirage of Speakers will be on hand along with featured Musicians. Food and Beverage vendors will be available for purchase, there will be a Kid’s Corner and Family entertainment. Any sponsor or vendor who is interested in obtaining a table there should visit: Event will be held at the Riverfront Ampitheater from 5:30PM to 8:30PM on June 15th, 2009.
