Artoberfest

BAAC is partnering with Main Street Batesville to host Artoberfest, an arts and music festival on Main Street (between 3rd St. and N Central Ave.), Saturday, October 7, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The festival will feature local and regional artist booths, art demonstrations, a sidewalk chalk art competition, live music including The Sparrows, Ed Casper, Alicia Williams Band, and Downhill Fast, along with other family friendly activities!

This year’s festival will also welcome the Arkansas Arts Center Artmobile! This one-of- a-kind space features curated exhibitions of works from the Arkansas Arts Center’s permanent collection. The current exhibition, A Feast for the Eyes, presents a visual survey of the evolution of food from fuel to fine dining. “The Arkansas Arts Center is proud to be welcomed into Batesville to offer Arkansans a quality visual arts experience and the wonderful opportunity to introduce the fine arts in such a unique manner,” said Arkansas Arts Center Executive Director Todd Herman. “The Artmobile allows us to foster community connections and encourage creative and expansive thinking.”

Artoberfest is FREE for the community to enjoy thanks to our generous sponsors! This year’s festival is sponsored by Citizens Bank, The John Herman Hickman Foundation, First Community Bank, and Merchants & Planters Bank, with help from Lyon College, and the Home Depot.
