Be a Santa To a Senior

unnamed (6)

Home Instead Senior Care encourages residents of Independence County to join in bringing Christmas cheer to seniors in the area who may not otherwise enjoy the Christmas season due to lack of finances or friends and family.

The program is simple yet effective. We have received names of seniors who need help with a gift. These names and basic requests have been placed on ornaments displayed by local merchants, Carlee’s Hallmark, Morningside Coffee House, Josie’s, Heritage House, FNBC and the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Simply take an ornament, shop for the senior, and return the gift and ornament to the business. Gifts will be collected and those not wrapped will be prepared at wrapping parties at Batesville Health and Rehab as well as Mountain Meadows Health and Rehab.

Gifts need to be returned to merchants by Dec. 16 and will be distributed Dec. 18 through 23. General donations can be made and will be given to the seniors as gifts.
