The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and 2015 sponsors are pleased to announce the 72nd Annual White River Water Carnival schedule of events that will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Riverside Park in Batesville.
BACC President/CEO Crystal Johnson said of the 2015 Water Carnival: “This year’s Water Carnival events will bring back some favorites like the Bone Collector and White River’s Got Talent, and visitors to Riverside Park will enjoy new attractions like the revamped Kidzone, Duck Boat Races, and the Crash Derby. Other entertainment will feature Miss Batesville, Miss Batesville’s Outstanding Teen, Miss White River, and Miss White River Outstanding Teen as well as Miss Independence County. The Water Carnival is a great opportunity for residents and visitors to the area to have a family-friendly day on the White River, and the event is a great boost to our tourism economy. We hope to see an even bigger crowd than we saw last year.”
The 2015 Water Carnival schedule of events is as follows: 10 a.m. – Duck Boat Races 10 a.m. – Car Show 10 a.m. – MDA Firetruck Pull 10 a.m. – Kidzone 11 a.m. – Local Acts on Stage 3 p.m. – Parade at Riverside Park 4 p.m. – Pageant Winners Featured 4 p.m. – Crash Derby 5 p.m. – Tommy Terrific the Magician 6 p.m. – Power Wheels Derby 6 p.m. – Bone Collector -more-
7 p.m. – White River’s Got Talent 8 p.m. – The Roadshow Band 9 p.m. – Fireworks Show 9:15 p.m. – Afterglow 5k / Afterparty
About the White River Water Carnival:
The White River Water Carnival is a free, family event that features entertainment, food vendors, craft and commercial vendors, and kids’ activities. Kids’ activities require purchase of admission tokens the day of the Water Carnival.
