BACC to hold “Go Green” business luncheon

Flowers Banking Company and Wood Lawn, Inc. will present the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce membership luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 4 in the George Rider Room at First Community Bank. This “Go Green” business luncheon will focus on recycling for your business. This luncheon will feature speakers from the Countywide Recycling Education Committee, Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, ORE Recovered Materials, Inc., and White River Regional Solid Waste Management District. Topics to be covered include “Recycling: Good for Business – Good for your Community,” “Recycling Tax Credit for Businesses & Arkansas Material Exchange Program,” “Business Benefits of Utilizing your Local Recycling Center,” and “Thinking Outside the Bin: Electronic Waste, Pharmaceuticals and Fining Re-Use Opportunities for Non-marketable Materials.”

“This luncheon will be packed with informative speakers that will illustrate how being a green business can provide a return on investment. Recycling is very important to our community. This will be a great opportunity to hear inside information about how recycling can benefit your business and our community.
