Citizens Bank Pioneer Invitational Kicks Off 2014 High School Golf Season

The 2014 high school golf season will get a jump-start Tuesday, Aug. 5, with the Citizens Bank Pioneer Invitational High School Golf Tournament to be held at The Course at Eagle Mountain. Competing golfers will represent teams from Batesville, Forrest City, Greene County Tech, Heber Springs, Nettleton, Paragould, Southside and Wynne.

The tournament will be the first opportunity for new Batesville Golf Coach Chad Larose to see his team in competition.
Play begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Team trophies will be awarded for first and second place in the Boys and Girls Divisions, plus individual trophies for medalists and runners-up.
Greene County Tech won the Boys team trophy in the Citizens Bank Pioneer Invitational last year as Forrest City was runner-up and Paragould took third place. Nettleton took home the top prize in the Girls Division, last year followed by Forrest City and Beebe.
