The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers William Carl Garner Visitor Center is pleased to announce that the folk trio Harmony will be performing in the Auditorium of the William Carl Garner Visitor Center on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 7 p.m. The band hails from Mountain View and specializes in traditional and contemporary folk music, Old Time String Band music and classic three-part harmony Gospel songs. They do a lot of songs by great writers like Bill Staines, John McCutcheon and James Keelaghan, as well as songs from regional writers like Bob Dyer and Charley Sandage. In the last five years they have recorded and performed Charley Sandages’ “Arkansas Stories”, a collection of songs relating to the long and colorful history of the State. Seating is limited!!
The William Carl Garner Visitor Center is located north of Heber Springs at the west end of the Greers Ferry Dam on Highway 25. The Visitor Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All programs are free and open to the public. For more information contact the Visitor Center at (501) 362-9067.
