Musical Trio to Perform for Harding University Concert Lyceum Series

Harding University’s concert lyceum series will kick off with a performance by the Merling Trio Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Administration Auditorium.

Founded in 1993, the Merling Trio is a traveling classical music act comprised of violinist Renata Knific, cellist Bruce Uchimura and pianist Susan Uchimura. The Merling Trio have traveled to perform throughout North America, and their recitals receive critical acclaim across the world.

In 1994, the trio was named a finalist for the Naumburg Foundation Chamber Music Award and has since performed with other orchestras such as the English Chamber Orchestra, the Honolulu Symphony, the BBC Scottish Symphony, the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, and the South Carolina Philharmonic.
