White County Medical Foundation Announces New Board Member

The White County Medical Foundation is pleased to announce Amy Daniels has joined its Board of Directors. Daniels is a resident of Beebe and a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones in Searcy. Committed to medical excellence and compassionate care, the White County Medical Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides support to White County Medical Center.

According to White County Medical Foundation Executive Director Cassandra Feltrop, Daniels’ involvement in the Foundation has spanned the past five years as a member of the Planned Gifts Committee, which she currently chairs. “We are glad to have Amy join our Foundation’s Board of Directors,” Feltrop said. “She is highly knowledgeable about our Foundation’s mission and was very active in garnering support in building the Cancer Center of Excellence in 2012. With a philanthropic background and passion for advancing healthcare in our community, Amy is a natural fit to serve on the Foundation’s Board of Directors.”

As the governing body of the White County Medical Foundation, the Board of Directors conducts fundraising efforts to provide White County Medical Center with funds for renovations, state-of-the-art equipment and specialized projects to enhance patient care.

“I am excited to join the Foundation’s Board of Directors,” Daniels said. “This is a tremendous opportunity to broaden my philanthropic involvement in our community and raise awareness about the Foundation, its mission and importance in our community.”

“As the fund-raising arm of hospitals, I truly believe that Foundations are the driving force of excellence in offering high-quality patient care,” she added. “Raising the level of care and services often occurs through construction projects and technological advancements, which why the mission of the White County Medical Foundation is so important. Our fund-raising efforts improve the hospital and, more importantly, benefit the patients we serve.”

“I look forward to broadening my expertise as a member of the Foundation Board and serving in this new role,” Daniels said. “The sky is the limit for our Foundation right now as we reach residents of Searcy and the surrounding communities.”

The Foundation’s “Miracles Happen Every Day” campaign is currently underway. Funds from the campaign will be used to benefit the New Life Center at White County Medical Center by helping to purchase the following: an advanced fetal monitoring system; state-of-the-art nursery equipment; a new triage area with four spaces for patients; an upgraded infant security system; renovate six patient rooms into labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum (LDRP) suites; and new flooring throughout the New Life Center.

Renovations to patient suites will include more amenities to help patients and their families feel right at home. Updates will include: big-screen televisions, more seating for families, a sofa that folds out for sleeping and showers in all suites, custom built-in surface area with storage, and new rocking chairs.
