Celebrating 40 Days of Blanchard Springs Caverns

 

Blanchard Springs Caverns will host “40 Days of Celebration,” beginning May 29 through July 7, 2013. These 40 days will focus on various topics including Stone County Day; Natural Resources Week; photo and poster contests; walking/running events; and much more.

Located in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest, in Fifty Six, Arkansas, 14 miles north of Mountain View, Blanchard Springs Caverns will celebrate its 40th Anniversary on June 15 with a special commemoration program beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Amphitheater.  Immediately following the 10:30 event, thepublic is invited to a day of activities for all ages, including lunch, games, music by The Leatherwoods, Cross-Saw demonstrations, and more.

 

Blanchard Springs Caverns, called the “cave find of the 20th century” was unveiled to the public on July 7, 1973.  Since that date, over 3.7 million visitors have toured this underground wonder.
