Christian Academy Choral Festival to perform concert at Harding University

The annual Christian Academy Choral Festival will be held on Harding University’s campus Nov. 2-3. Choral ensembles from six Christian schools will be featured. The festival will end with a concert in Benson Auditorium at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3.

The schools scheduled to attend include:

  • Harding Academy, Searcy
  • Prattville Christian Academy, Prattville, Ala.
  • Middle Tennessee Christian School, Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Central Arkansas Christian School, Little Rock, Ark.

Students will participate under the direction of Harding Assistant Professor of Music Kelly Neill. He will serve as the festival’s clinician.

Schools will perform individually and then join to perform five final pieces at the end of the concert.

The directors of the choral groups are Harding alumnus Craig Jones for Harding Academy of Searcy; Harding alumnus Brooks Gatlin for Prattville Christian Academy; Harding alumnus Shawn Frazier for Middle Tennessee Christian School; and Janice Northen for Central Arkansas Christian.

Harding is the largest private university in Arkansas with 6,295 students. The University also maintains campuses in Australia, Chile, England, France, Greece, Italy and Zambia.
