Citizens Bank to Present Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Inaugural Women in Business Conference

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Citizens Bank will present the Women in Business Leadership Conference in its inaugural year. The event is set to take place on Oct. 16, 2015 at UACCB in Independence Hall from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. BACC anticipates this conference to become the region’s new forum to promote women’s personal and professional development and advancement. The purpose of the event is to inspire women to seek their highest level of personal and professional growth by presenting participants with mentors, varying perspectives, and strategies for success.

The conference format will include a keynote message, roundtable discussions, networking opportunities, and a unique session showcasing area vendors. Roundtable discussions will be organized based on areas of development and will include advice for beginning in business, lessons for emerging leaders, practical exercises for advancing in business, and non-traditional business and venture idea exchanges.

Jamie Beck, BACC Director of Programs and Events, says, “What I am most excited about is the fact that the conference will introduce and encourage the concept of mentorship among women in our community. We want to create a forum for learning about the power of women uniting.”

Early registration for the conference kicked off Aug. 1, and attendees can register for the early rate of $79 until Sept. 1. Registration rates increase to $99 per attendee on Sept. 1 and the deadline to register is Oct. 1. Registration includes a ticket to the keynote message, participation in all sessions, a seat at the luncheon, and all conference materials.
